Melody Cullum

Consultant

Melody is a reformer at heart. She is passionate about helping organizations become healthier. Since organizations are social constructs that come together with a shared vision and mission to achieve a preferred outcome, Melody believes that organizational development concepts can teach people how to create what is possible. She approaches Organization Development (OD) with practical tools and assessments to facilitate change and growth necessary to compete in this rapidly changing world.

Melody approaches her clients with the understanding that people are the most important asset in an organization. As a highly conscientious consultant, building an authentic and trusted relationship with clients is important to facilitate discovery and change. Her mission is to partner with organizations to strategically achieve their goals and become the best place to work.

Prior to becoming an Organization Development consultant, Melody’s journey includes experience in marketing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and education. With nearly 15 years of curriculum research and creating educational plans, her method to Organization Development is to equip others as change agents in their respective roles as leaders and team members. As a marketing account manager for a major health care company, Melody interfaced with external agencies and executive leadership to coordinate communications materials for various media venues and regulatory compliance. Having a child with autism, Melody approaches human behaviors with an understanding that there is more to the story than what is seen on the surface.

Life 2.0. Melody earned her Master of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. Her undergraduate education includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside in Administrative Studies. She is a Connective Leadership Institute Certified Associate and earned a Noel Academy for Strengths – Based Leadership and Education Certification. She co-authored an article regarding organizational commitment, church size and pastoral humility and earned her MBTI certification. Melody is currently working on her certification hours with the International Coaching Federation.

When not working, Melody is managing to fund her two-college aged children and therefore, she has no hobbies except the ones that are free of charge. She hopes that these young adults will be difference makers in this world – and take really good care of her in her older years! She enjoys spending time with life-long friends, serving in ministry and watching her daughter play collegiate soccer.
