Lisa is Vice President of TurningWest and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty years in social services. She is also the Senior Director at Masonic Center for Youth and Families (MCYAF), providing executive leadership for two private, non-profit clinics in San Francisco and Covina, California. She successfully launched and continues to direct MCYAF in Covina, a trauma-focused mental health clinic. For the previous twelve years, Lisa was a Program Director at Pacific Clinics for two intensive child and family programs, with a diverse and inter-disciplinary staff of up to fifty-five professionals. During eight of those years, Lisa also served as an internal consultant through the Pacific Clinics Training Institute. In this capacity, she has coached other managers, supervisors, and teams to greater productivity, improved managerial skill, and higher morale.
Lisa is a graduate of the University of Washington with an M.S.W. and Bethel University (St Paul, MN) with a B.A. in Social Work. She served as the Vice President of the Pomona Valley affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and has been a frequent speaker on the topic of clinical depression, wellness, and overcoming stigma. Lisa developed and taught a popular course at the Pacific Clinics Training Institute on depression from a first-hand perspective using her own memoir, enabling fellow clinicians to develop stronger effectiveness with and empathy for consumers.
Lisa has been married to Steve for thirty three years and is the mother of two grown children, Johnny and Grace. Lisa loves to read, run with the Inland Empire Running Club, play tennis, and walk her yellow labrador, Winston.
