– As an Associate Consultant for TurningWest, Kevin uses his background in clinical psychology to tackle hard conversations and drive change that is measurable, specific, and observable. Kevin’s purpose is to lead strategic change in organizations that increases revenue, job satisfaction, wellbeing, and resource conservation while decreasing turnover and operating costs.
Kevin orients himself towards valuing relationships and results. Therefore, clients can always count on him to connect personally before engaging in project content. He believes that enjoying one’s career is not an esoteric feature for the few. Instead, jobs offer purpose in bringing people together, and once aligned, organizations will thrive in having fun and making things happen.
Before joining TurningWest, Kevin worked as a behavioral therapist, a USA swimming coach, and throughout the supply chain for distinguished companies like BNSF Railroad, Amazon, and Chick-fil-A. In these roles, Kevin recognized the disparity in productivity between workplace cultures of positivity and growth vs. performance and achievement. He supports research that demonstrates the best results, most significant accomplishments, and maximal goal attainment come from individuals and organizations who set learning-oriented goals.
Kevin earned his undergraduate degree in 2019 from Lindenwood University, located just outside of St. Louis, MO. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Minor in Business Administration, and began his Masters in Industrial-Organizational Psychology in 2020. Kevin continuously develops and encourages those around him by learning new skills as a practitioner, studying organization behavior, and volunteering in humanitarian and environmental conservation groups. He has 15 years of competition and coaching experience, awarded as a five-time state runner-up swimmer, a distinguished DII scholar-athlete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and a volunteer for Habitat for humanity and GRID Alternatives.
